Consumer Resolution Group Consumer Advocacy & Intake
A modest brick home with solar panels installed on the roof

Nationwide homeowner advocacy

Sold solar on promises that never held up.

The installer disappeared, the savings never arrived, or the balance carried fees nobody mentioned. Finding out where you stand costs nothing.

  • Free to review your situation, start to finish
  • You don't need your loan documents to begin
  • No obligation — walk away at any point

We're an advocacy company, not a law firm. We review what happened, put it in front of a licensed attorney, and stay with you through the process. Finding out where you stand costs nothing.

What we review

Three situations that come up again and again.

Most homeowners who reach us fall into at least one. You don't have to know which — that's what the review is for. Pick the closest and we'll carry it into the form.

A solar installer fastening a panel to a residential shingle roof 01

The installer is gone.
The loan is not.

The company that sold and installed your system shut down, stopped answering, or filed for bankruptcy — while the monthly payment carried on and nobody will service the equipment.

Signs this is you
  • Calls and emails bounce, or go unanswered
  • You learned they closed from the news or a neighbor
  • Warranty and repair work stalled with nobody to call
  • The lender still expects payment as if nothing changed
This is my situation

The savings never showed up.

You were shown numbers that made this look like it paid for itself. The utility bill never dropped the way you were told, the system underperforms, or credits promised out loud never appeared.

Signs this is you
  • You pay the solar loan and a utility bill you were told would go away
  • "Free solar" turned out to be a 20–25 year financed loan
  • Production runs below what the sales projection showed
  • A tax credit or rebate you were promised never materialized

Most often missed

Fees and markups buried in the balance.

The one homeowners almost never catch on their own, because it only shows up in the paperwork — an inflated system price, dealer fees folded into the amount financed, or a payment built to jump later.

Signs this is you
  • The financed amount sits well above comparable local quotes
  • A large "dealer fee" was rolled in and never explained
  • The payment escalates yearly, or balloons without a lump sum
  • You were rushed through signing, or signed on someone's tablet

How it works

Four steps, and you can stop at any one of them.

Nothing here commits you to anything. The decision stays with you at every stage.

01

Tell us what happened

The short form, or a phone call if you'd rather talk it through. About a minute. No loan documents needed to start.

02

We review it, free

Someone on our team goes through the details with you and explains in plain language what we're seeing.

03

An attorney reviews it

We put your contract in front of a licensed attorney who decides whether there's a case worth taking. If there isn't, we tell you.

04

You decide, then they go to work

You'll have everything in writing before deciding. If you go ahead, the attorney handles the case and we stay on it with you.

Questions

The things people actually ask.

Will my solar loan get canceled?

We can't tell you that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What a review can tell you is whether there's something in your situation worth pursuing — and that call belongs to an attorney, not to us. Depending on what they find, the options they discuss with you might include pursuing cancellation or other relief. No specific outcome or result is guaranteed.

How do you get paid?

You pay us, and we'd rather say that plainly than have you wonder. Getting your situation reviewed — by us and by an attorney — costs nothing. If an attorney agrees there's a case and you decide to go ahead, we charge a fee for handling it, and we pay the attorney out of that.

You'll see the amount in writing before you owe anything, and you won't get a second bill from the law firm. Nothing is owed unless you choose to move forward.

How long does this take?

It depends on your contract, your lender, and what the firm finds — so we won't hand you a timeline we can't stand behind. Matters like these are generally measured in months rather than days. If someone promises you a specific date, ask how they could possibly know.

Are you a law firm?

No — we're a consumer advocacy company. We handle the intake, the review, and the coordination; the legal work is done by licensed attorneys. We don't give legal advice ourselves, and submitting this form doesn't by itself create an attorney-client relationship.

Do I need my loan paperwork to start?

Not to start. It helps later if you can find your installation agreement and loan documents, but plenty of people reach out with no idea where any of it is. Tell us what you remember and we'll work from there.

Should I stop making my payments?

Nothing on this page is advice about what to do with your loan — we aren't able to give you that, and decisions about payments can affect both your credit and your legal position. If you're weighing that question, put it to a licensed attorney before you act on it.

What happens to my information?

It's used to review your situation and, if there's a case, to get it in front of an attorney. We don't sell your information. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing review@consumerresolutiongroup.com. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
